The Deep Things of God

The Deep Things of God

[1Co 2:9-10 KJV] 9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. 10 But God hath revealed [them] unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.

I don’t know of too many people in this world that don’t want to know what the future holds for their life.  The unfortunate reality for a lot of people who call themselves Christians is that when it comes to knowing what is to come, we too many times believe that only a “super spiritual” person can know those types of things.  Some people even make the mistake of turning to the evil supernatural world and seeking out a psychic or “spiritual reader” to find out what their future holds.   But any future and any plan that comes from any source but God, is not a good plan.

The Bible says is Jeremiah 29:11 (NLT),

“For I know the plans I have for you,” says the LORD. They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.”  The King James Version says God has an “expected end” for your life.  God’s plan for your life is good, and He wants you to know what lies ahead.  But, we must understand that what God has in store for us cannot be accessed through our physical senses (sight, taste, touch, smell, and feeling).  I Corinthians 2:9 – 10 tells us that eyes have not seen and ears have not heard, neither has it entered in to the heart of man(mind/thinking), things which God has prepared for them that love Him.  We often look at this text and rejoice in the fact that God has something good prepared for us.  But what God is really showing us through this text is that God wants to reveal His plan for our lives to us, but this plan can only be accessed by His Spirit

(verse 10).  And He doesn’t only want us to know the “big” things; He wants us to know all things.
The Holy Spirit knows ALL things and will reveal God’s plan to you.  (John 14:2)  But, you must have a personal relationship with Him in order to clearly hear and know His voice.  Just like our close friends and relatives, we can only develop an intimate relationship with the Holy Spirit by spending quality time in God’s Word, meditating, listening and confessing His Word on a consistent basis. It’s time for the body of Christ to show the world that we have the answers that they are so desperately looking for.  But we must first come to know them for ourselves by walking in the Spirit, and not being led by our physical senses.  Get to know the Deep Things of God TODAY!
