Yes, No or Maybe?

Yes, No or Maybe

Many people feel that when they don’t receive the answer they desire to prayer, that it is because sometimes God says “Yes”, sometimes He says “No”, and sometimes He says “Maybe”. But, the truth is that scripture does not back this up.  The Bible tells us in 2 Corinthians 1:20 (KJV), “For all the promises of God in him [are] yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.”  Every promise God has given to His people has already been provided for us, and God’s answer is “Yes!”

“So why didn’t my prayer get answered?” you may be saying.  The true issue is not God’s answer, it is our prayer. If we do not receive from God, it is usually due to 2 major issues in our prayers. The first issue people often have is wrong motive (or selfish prayers that are not consistent with a Godly life). James 4:3 (KJV) states, “Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume [it] upon your lusts.”   This doesn’t mean that God doesn’t want our desires granted, but they must be in accordance to His will, and our focus should be His Kingdom and His righteousness first.

The 2nd issue is not praying according to God’s Word. 1 John 5:14 – 15 (KJV) says, “And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.”  In other words, God is assuring us that as long as we are praying according to His Word, the answer is a resounding “YES!”

So ask yourself today, “Am I praying the Word of God?”  “Is my prayer only for my benefit?”  If the answer is yes, then believe you have received it, and expect the manifestation, because it’s already done!
